Details of our 3rd Annual Art Contest for children & adults with additional needs.
This contest helps bring public awareness to the talents and abilities of those with additional needs. This event is not about “the art” itself, rather, it is about getting people involved! This contest will allow the public to see the talents and abilities that we all have and are capable of. An Art Contest is just a FUN way of doing so. Join in on the fun, art & prizes from local businesses.
To help get our artists out into nature, we are basing this years’ art contest on “Nature“. This Nature theme may include art that relates to anything nature related, (animals, landscapes, seascapes, skies, world of flora and fauna, etc). A variety of interpretations of our nature theme may be submitted (representative, abstract, conceptual). The following visual art mediums are acceptable: painting, drawing, fiber art, photography, sculpture or collage.
Special thanks to Naples Botanical Garden for partnering with Additional Needs, Inc. The Garden will host the 2023-2024 Additional Needs Art Contest Reception & Awards with date to be announced. The reception will feature works from 5 different age groups with additional needs ranging from 5 years old (Kindergarten) to adult (over 18). Five winners of the approximately twenty jury-selected artists will be announced during the evening’s festivities. This is a free event for all additional needs families. To attend for free you must rsvp Naples Botanical Garden. Here is the link to The Garden’s free Sensory-Friendly Saturdays. RSVP for the event link.
